Our homestudy report is officially at USCIS to join our I-600A that we sent in April. Now, we wait for an invitation to get our fingerprint appointment. I know that the wait can vary from location to location. We figure it will be up to four weeks for us.
In the meantime, hopefully our agency will move us from the homestudy coordinator to an adoption coordinator very soon. It has been hard to sit on our hands and wait without anything to do to move the process forward while our homestudy went back and forth between our social worker and our agency.
I assume that the next step will be to choose our region.

Congrats on completing your home study! That is a big hurdle behind you.
Congratulations! Doesn't it feel great to make progress! I hope your appt comes soon and your adoption coordinator calls you!
Here's hoping for speedy finger-printing! I need to go back in your blog and see - is there a place you've listed the entire sequence of events that will lead up to your daughter coming home?
Hope that appt comes soon - all the waiting especially when it's out of your own hands is the hardest. Keep us posted.
